Sizzle
By: Chris O'Brien
I wrote the pilot episode back in 2011 when I was a student at Hope College. Then I just kind of let it sit for three years.
Fast forward to 2014, maybe 2015, I took a sitcom writing class at the iO here in Chicago. The story changed a little bit, the main character (Andy) grew up in Holland but always dreamed of being the one who designs the New York Times crossword puzzle. He goes off to the internship interview, doesn't get it. Comes back home to Holland to work at the local paper.
And then, again, didn't do anything with the story for four or five years. Yet it keeps popping back up. I don't know if I'll keep it in Holland or move it up to Traverse City, but I do want to write some more episodes. I'm new to the TV writing arena so looking for some editing help from people with that type of experience.
