We had an amazing time exhibiting and presenting at our very first Printers Row Lit Fest right here in Chicago. The panel on “Writing After Loss” was uplifting and it was great to hear from all three of our Safe Landing authors as well as Eileen Hamra, author of Time to Fly.
Here were Jim, Kim, and Melody signing a fresh stack of their books in preparation for the event.
And Kim getting the Long Overdue logo painted on her fingernails!
We had two tables at the event. One dedicated entirely to Safe Landing. The other showcased the rest of our Long Overdue books.
Note - You can order a copy of Safe Landing right here in our online bookstore.
Not even 15 minutes in, a camera crew and reporter from ABC 7 stopped by to interview Kim. Turned on the news later... Hey, we know her!
We had a great time at our tables and couldn’t have asked for better weather over the weekend. It was so cool to see thousands of passionate readers roaming the festival and we enjoyed connecting with other authors and publishers too.
As the end of Day 1 approached, we got ready for our panel discussion. Thank you to all who attended and shoutout to the authors for a great talk!
And you know it's a great Saturday when you end up at First Draft (owned by Jim Borchers and just a couple blocks away) afterward for some dinner, some pints of Guinness, and a Borchers' family tradition - a headstand by the Matriarch Melody Smith.
Then back at it on Sunday for another great day.
We're extremely grateful for the opportunity and experience we had this year. One thing is for certain: We'll be back at Printers Row Lit Fest in 2024. We just might need some more tables!

Clear out my November calendar, I have a lot of reading to do. By the way, do they make Pickleball rackets for dogs?"
